Dialup was the first form of internet access and hasn't really changed. The advantage of sticking with a classic is that it's been tried and tested, and it works.

These days, each time the IT industry launches an exciting new products it means we all need to 'upgrade' what we have in order to get it, or buy the expensive, fancy new hardware. Dialup doesn't care if your computer is old or your operating system (your version of Windows) is apparently 'outdated' - it'll work anyway.

That screechy sound we've come to love is dialup changing your digital information to 'voice' and sending it across your phone line. Owing to the nature of this process we can't promise you 'lightning fast speeds', but we can promise that if you just want to get your email, send email, bank online and browse the internet - dialup is perfect.

You will still be able to take advantage of other things the internet has to offer, like facebook. Should you wish to view a friend's photo gallery online though, dialup will unfortunately give you enough time to make yourself a cup of tea/coffee while the pictures load to your computer.

Our dialup package has a set monthly fee whether you use your package 5 times or 50 times a month. This means you'll never have unwanted bill surprised at the end of the month.

Please bear in mind that as dialup uses your Telkom telephone line, Telkom will bill you for call charges for the periods of time you are connected. We have however ensured that with our nationwide access number, regardless of where you are in South Africa, when using our Dialup you will only be billed for a local call.

We also have webmail programs which enable you to delete any large or unwanted emails before downloading them to your computer. It's just another way we've made things quicker, easier and cheaper for you.
