Requirements:
Proficient in PHP
SQL (MySQL preferred)
XHTML/HTML/CSS/JavaScript
Additional Criteria:
Basic understanding of AJAX
Basic understanding of Apache configuration
Able to work in a LAMP development environment
Object Orientated Programming practices.
Basic understanding of SOAP
Exposure to the PEAR/PECL libraries
Experience with JavaScript Libraries (JQuery advantageous)
Additional languages advantageous.

Junior System Administrator
Requirements
Matric qualification
1+ years experience in maintaining a Web environment (LAMP)
2+ years Linux Server administration experience or 5+ years personal Linux experience
Intimate Linux and Windows Server knowledge
Networking skills
Shell Scripting
Perl and PHP scripting
Advantage
Working knowledge of Cisco and Dell network equipment
Other programming experience
Plesk experience
Asterisk and other VoIP products
VMWare ESXi experience
The successful applicant will be working as part of a team responsible for the following:
+ Maintain internal and server network (Office LAN for helpdesk and other staff, ISP Hosting Environment etc)
+ Maintain Linux and Windows servers
+ Monitor / Administer Apache Web Servers on linux hosting
+ Monitor / Administer IIS Web Servers on windows hosting
+ Monitor / Administer Exim Mail Servers on linux
+ Analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems. Perform preventative maintenance on systems
+ Introducing and integrating new technologies into existing data center environments
+ Performing routine audits of systems and software
+ Administer backup environment
+ Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes
+ Installing and configuring new hardware and software
+ Administer Active Directory domain including management of user account information (Staff Domain accounts etc)
+ Responsibility for security. Recording and maintain user access and security (Internal LAN Administration)
+ Responsibility for documenting the configuration of the system. Write and maintain operational documentation
+ System performance tuning
+ Ensuring that the network infrastructure is up and running
+ Administer the Hobbit and Cacti monitoring systems
+ Answering technical queries
+ Troubleshooting any reported problems
+ Assist helpdesk staff as needed
+ Be on call as needed
+ Liaise with suppliers regarding new purchases, warranty swap outs
