Template selection screen

When you first log in to your new SiteCreator system, you'll be presented with a template selection screen.

If you're just starting out and only need a basic one-page site, we recommend an Under Construction template.

If you've already built a site using some other service, and if that site is still available online, you can import it using the Website Import option.

Click the Preview button on any template too see what it looks like live. When previewing a template, remember that you'll have to replace the placeholder content with with your own copy, images, links, etc.

Selecting a template

Which template you should choose depends on:

• Your business or projects branding, style, and "vibe".
• Text content ("copy"), information, images, video, or other media ("assets"). You don't need any assets to get started though! A simple landing page with basic info is more than enough to establish your online presence.
• The purpose of your website. It could be
  • an `Under Construction` site, letting visitors know that more content is coming soon
  • a simple site with just your business contact information, links to your social media, a map to your premises, a contact form, etc.
  • your CV or portfolio
  • a shop with a catalog of your products and services
  • a personal site with information about the things you love
  • an informational site about a project, event, or product you're working on
  • an automatic import of another site you own

Available templates

There are over 200 templates available, in the following categories:

• Website import: Simply enter the address of another site you already own, and the SiteCreator will import the content and attempt to replicate the layout and functionality!
• Under construction : If you aren't ready to build your site just yet, use an under construction template to let visitors know your site is on the way!
• Personal page: Create your online CV and showcase your awesomeness.
• Services: A huge range of options perfect for your service industry business, including childcare, automotive, mechanical and repair, personal care and beauty, and legal, financial, and translation services.
• Art: Templates for arts and artists, photography, portfolios, handicrafts, decor, and design.
• E-commerce: For products, services, catalogues, portfolios, and shopping.
• Social: Charities, churches, clubs, and organisations.
• Sport: Including clubs, facilities, and equipment.
• Bootstrap style, Landing page, and Technology: Templates with a modern yet familiar style. Recognisable yet professional templates ideal for apps and IT-related services.
• Business: Generic templates with a professional feel. Perfect for buisiness profiles, and business-related services like consulting, management, logistics, etc.
• Education: Templates for schools, universities, courses, books, training material, tutoring, and daycare and youth services.
• Energy: Templates with a focus on renewable energy like wind and solar. Perfect for your new solar installation venture or electrical services business.
• Entertainment and Events: Including sites for tours, venues, clubs, event planners, and events including concerts, birthday parties, and weddings.
• Food: For anything food-related, from food blogs and recipes, to establishments like restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and even farms.
• Health: For medical, health, wellness, personal care, beauty, and veterinary services.
• Hotels and Travel: For your hospitality, accommodation, travel agents, guides, and tours.
• Media: for radio stations, streaming and video channels, personalities, and social media influencers.
• Nature: Templates for eco and agro concerns.
• Transport: For shipping and logistics.

Changing your template

Click `New/Reset` > `Change Template`.
