Changing the Automatic Send/Receive Time in Outlook 2010
- Step 1: Click File, and then Options.
A pop-up with the heading Outlook Options will appear.
- Step 2: In the left hand column find and click Advanced.
- Step 3: Scroll down, using the scroll on the right of the pop-up, until you see Send and Receive.
Click on the Send and Receive button. A new pop-up with heading Send/Receive Groups will appear.
- Step 4: Under Setting for group "All Accounts" you will see a check box, the second one, is for Schedule an automatic send/receive every [time field] minutes.
We recommend that you either uncheck this box, so that your mail client only checks for new mail when you click the Send/Receive button, or ensure the time is set to 30 minutes.
