Automatic installation
Imaginet offers automated WordPress installation via your control panel. Follow these easy steps to get started in minutes.
Step 1: Access your control panel
Log in to https://my.imaginet.co.za.
Manual installation
If you prefer manual installation, or what to understand how your CMS works, take a look at the following steps for manual WordPress installation.
Step 1: Download Installer Files
Download the latest version of Wordpress from the following link Wordpress Download and upload the files using the FTP method that you prefer.
Step 2: Start Installation
You are now ready to run the wordpress installer, so open a new tab in browser and type the domain name. You should then see the following screen below and click on Create a Configuration File and then select the Let`s go button.
Step 3: Database Configuration
During this step you will enter the database username and password, you also need to make sure that the hostname is set to mysql.yourdomainname.co.za.
Step 4: Run the Installer
You should then see the following page where you will need to click on Run the install.
Step 5: Site Details
The final step is to enter the following. Make sure that the Username is set to the clients name and that you use the online password generator which can be found on the following link Online Password Generator
Step 6: Installation Complete
The final step is to click the Install Wordpress button, once installation is complete you should then see the login page as seen below.
And that's it! All done!
