  • Outdated CMS Versions

The most common website exploits are due to outdated content management systems. Its very important that if your website has been designed in a Content Management System (CMS) that you up date it on a regular basis, as new security updates are released on a regular basis to avoid these kinds of exploits.

  • Insecure Passwords

Its important that when creating a new database or changing the ftp details that you don't use common usernames and passwords such as "password123" or "123456" as an example. These kinds of passwords are the first ones that hackers use to try and gain access to your site.

  • File Permissions

Its important that you do not change any files or directories to 777, firstly this is no longer required as all our hosting servers have been optimized to run the latest web applications and secondly it poses a huge security threat to your website. If you are having issues, with File permissions contact us immediately and we will investigate further.
