International
28 April 2015
International domains like.com, .net, and even some new ones like .party, .legal, .photography are increasingly popular if you want to appeal to a very broad market. However, if you plan to live and do business only in South Africa… the domain name “.co.za” is what you need. This serves to show any browsers that you are a South African enterprise .
Obviously if you are a shipping or export company or sell services which are internationally accessible, then it would be in your best interests to use a global domain so as to make clients aware that your market is not only in one country or city.
Sometimes business owners set up a different website for local customers in South Africa on their .co.za domain, and a different site for international customers on their .com domain.
